Holliston Aces is a tennis program for kids ages 7-10 (grades 2-5) launched in 2015 by Haley Hanstad,
who was then a member of the Holliston High School Girls Varsity tennis team.  Haley was joined by her sister Mary, who is now a sophomore at Holliston High and is in her second year as a member of the varsity tennis team. Mary also loves working with younger children and is looking forward to sharing her love of tennis and coaching your children with help from her father and some of her teammates.

"Tennis is an amazing sport for building confidence, getting exercise and just having fun. I have been playing tennis since I was in elementary school and absolutely love it!  I want to share my passion with other kids who may not have easy access to lessons, courts and equipment.  I first learned tennis from my father, Ryland Hanstad, who was played for Colgate University, was the assistant coach at American University, and went on to become a teaching pro. He is now the assistant coach for the Holliston High School girls varsity team. I hope you'll be able to join us on Saturday morning's this Spring !! "

Program Overview

The program is designed for kids in grades 2 through 5, approximately ages 7-10.  Children this age are able to hold a racquet and learn the basics easily with the right instruction.  We will teach them the fundamentals of tennis in an engaging, fun environment using the "short court" methodology - a system developed by the USTA specifically for teaching tennis to kids ages 10 and under.

The USTA is providing us with all of the equipment to help foster the game of tennis with young children and ensure that all children, regardless of means, have access to learn the sport.  So, it's an excellent opportunity that you can take advantage of today!
